The explosion of social media has changed the way in which those in the public health field must look at risk communication and information sharing, especially in times of emergency. In these situations social media can, and should, be used to communicate accurate information immediately to as many people as possible. Critical Incident Analysis and Reporting to Enhance Public Health Emergency Preparedness

Helping Your Community Get Back on Its Feet Quickly: How to Improve Disaster Recovery through Robust Planning and Tracking (SOLD OUT)

Community recovery from disaster is a complex and lengthy process that could be expedited with improved pre-planning. During this workshop, RAND and NACCHO’s Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) will help participants begin to develop a recovery plan or integrate recovery plan elements and indicators into their existing emergency plan. They will also highlight opportunities for future technical assistance on preparedness planning.
